The Calm Before (and After) the Storm

Big storms moving through last night. We had a moment of perfect calm just before it got here. The blades on my little windmill stopped dead.

Afterwards, we got perfect calm again.

Only this time it came with a bonus. 🙂

There’s nothing like the beauty of a dark purple sky moving in, when you can almost see the wall of rain moving toward you — except, of course, for that rainbow after it passes! 😀

What wonderful pictures to capture the storm. Did you have that odd yellow-gold sky too? What a weird looking color. I have never seen a sky like that. I thought it was a signal for a tornado, but I guess not. Glad you “weathered” the storm just fine.
